The mouse will be set to a higher DPI if you move it quicker, which means it will cover more screen distance. On the other hand, if you move the mouse slowly, the DPI will be reduced, meaning the mouse will travel less.

As you would expect, since the translation of physical movement to on-screen movement isn’t linear, the setting won’t help you while you’re gaming, particularly if you already have a gaming mouse that can go fairly high in terms of DPI.
