Method– Clear the cache of the SmartThings app on your Samsung Galaxyphone.
- Go to the Settings menu on your Samsung Galaxy device.
- Go to Apps.
- Choose SmartThings.
- Stop the power to the valve.
- Then go to the Memory section.
- Press Clear Cache.
- Choose Delete Data.
Method 2 – Removing the battery from the SmartTag

- First remove the battery from the Samsung SmartTag.
- Let it sit for a few minutes.
- Now try reinserting the battery.
Method 3 – Reset Samsung SmartTag
- Remove the battery from the Samsung SmartTag.
- Find the button in the middle. Press and hold while inserting the battery. Note that the SmartTag may not generate any sound. If so, try again.
- If you have succeeded, press and hold the button for five seconds.
- Release the button and close the battery.

Method 4 – Reinstalling the SmartThings app
- Find the SmartThings icon on the Home screen.
- Press and hold to open the menu.

- Go to the Google Play Store.
- Press the Menu icon.
- Go to My apps and games.
- Choose Updates.
- Choose SmartThings.

Method 6 – Send error report to Samsung
- In the Smart Things application, press the Menu key.
- Go to Contact.
- Select Error Reports.
- Select Smart Tag.
- Select Contact.
- Record the output of your smart label.
- Find the Send system log files option and select the check box.
