The single-player game Mario Golf: Superstar’s challenge mode is one of the series’ most enjoyable features, and it’s made even better with the inclusion of it’s mission mode. The missions are huge, and include a variety of fun tasks, such as hitting a target, staying on a moving platform or lining up a shot. One such mission is the “Super Rush” mission, where you must hit all the bonuses on a long and very challenging course. Unfortunately, the game’s online multiplayer mode doesn’t include this mode, so you’ll have to find an alternative way to have fun in this game.
I am a huge fan of the original Mario Golf for the Nintendo 64, and that is why I was very excited when I heard about a new game for the Nintendo DS. I was sure that the new Mario Golf would be even better, and that is why I decided to play it on the train on my way to work. What I was very surprised to find was that the game was not what I expected it to be, and, in fact, it was pretty awful. It felt like it was made by an amateur developer with no knowledge of the Mario brand, and I was extremely disappointed.

Note: There are no free-to-play characters in Mario Golf : Super Rush. All 16 characters are unlockable from the start. The grid contains 16 characters: Mario, King Bob-omb, Luigi, Pauline, Wario, Chargin Chuck, Peach, Toad, Valuigi, Rosalina, Daisy, Donkey Kong, Bowser Jr, Boo, Yoshi and Bowser.
Of course, new DLC characters may be announced in the future. This may include the game’s end bosses: The lightning statue, the sacred fire creature and the snow king.
