The wireless earbuds Apple announced at WWDC 2017 have been met with a mixed reaction. Some people were excited to hear about them, others were dismayed at the $159 price tag, and some were downright baffled at the product. Those that were able to get their hands on a pair have had mixed feelings as well. Some have loved the new wireless headphones, while others have been disappointed at the pause button that isn’t really a pause button and the fact that they don’t really work as wireless earbuds.

Quickly pairing a pair of AirPods to your PC or Mac is a doddle, but just in case you need a reminder there are three easy steps. First, activate Bluetooth on your Mac or PC. If you’re using Windows you’ll see an icon next to the battery icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. Click it to see a menu that includes Bluetooth, AirPods, Wifi, and Battery. If you already have AirPods connected to your PC or Mac, there’s no need to pair them again. If not, click the AirPods icon and the phone will automatically discover and connect to the AirPods.

There are two ways to get AirPods working with a PC. The first is to connect them wirelessly to your PC via Bluetooth. The second is to connect them via the included USB-C charging cable. Connecting AirPods to a Windows 10 PC

You can connect AirPods to a Windows 10 computer via Bluetooth. Make sure your device has Bluetooth. Most new Windows 10 laptops have built-in Bluetooth, but if not, you can use an external Bluetooth adapter to connect Airpods.

Follow these steps to connect AirPods to your Windows 10 computer.

Step one: Place the AirPods in the charging case and check to make sure they are charged. Place the AirPods in the charging case.

Step two: Press Windows + I to open the Settings application. You can also access the settings by clicking the gear icon on the Start menu.

Step four: Select Bluetooth and other devices from the left side of the device settings.

Step six: In the Add Device window, select Bluetooth. Select Bluetooth

Seventh step: Now open the cover of the AirPods charging case and press the round button on the cover until you see a flashing white light in front of the cover.

Step 8: Under Add Device, you’ll see AirPods. AirPods may take a while to appear, and at first you’ll see headphones instead of the AirPod name for a while. The headphones will soon change their name to AirPods.

Step 9: Tap your AirPods on the screen.

When the message Your device is ready for use appears! AirPods successfully connected to a Windows 10 computer. Now you can take the AirPods out of the charging case and use them as your new audio device. If you know the above procedure, pairing AirPods with your PC should be a simple task.

How do I reconnect my paired AirPods to my PC?

If you’ve already paired AirPods with a Windows 10 PC and want to re-pair AirPods with Windows 10, you can do so quickly.

To re-pair a paired device, you need to go to the menu –

Settings ➜ Devices ➜ Bluetooth and other devices

Now scroll down to the Audio section.

In the paired devices list, tap AirPods, then tap Connect. Your AirPods will reconnect to your Windows 10 PC and you will be able to listen to music with your AirPods again. It’s easy to connect AirPods to your computer if they’re already paired.

However, if you know how to connect and disconnect AirPods from Windows 10, you can do it. If you want to stop using AirPods on your Windows 10 laptop or PC, you’ll need to change some settings to disable AirPods.

Settings ➜ Devices ➜ Bluetooth and other devices

Go to the Audio section of the Bluetooth settings and tap the AirPods you want to remove from your computer.

Then click Remove Device and when prompted to remove the device, click Yes.

AirPods are disconnected from your Windows 10 computer. If you want to connect them in the future, you have to repeat the whole process again.

When you connect AirPods to your Windows computer, you lose some important features. You can’t ask Siri to make calls or send messages. Normally, when you use the AirPods on your iPhone, iPad, or iOS device and remove them from your ears, the music/video playback stops. However, if the AirPods are connected to a computer, the music continues to play even when the headphones are not being used.
