Over time, we install dozens of apps on our smartphones. While Android has a feature to uninstall apps, it is not as easy to use as in other operating systems. This guide will show you how to take a simple step to uninstall Android apps.
In this blogpost I will guide you through every step, including screenshots and videos, to find and uninstall unnecessary applications on your old Android smartphone. All of these applications are not required for your smartphone to work, and they slow down phone speed, make phone slower to respond and increase battery drain. So, it is very important to find and remove all of these unnecessary applications to keep your smartphone fast and protected.
The mobile phone has become one of our most important virtual companions, accompanying us throughout the day. To not miss anything, your phone needs to work as well as possible.
To do this, you need to remove applications that take up memory, which extends battery life and improves RAM efficiency. However, not all applications can be uninstalled directly, as some come standard with your mobile device.
With this in mind, we have prepared the following note to help you remove all utilities. If you want to know how to do this, you should keep reading until the end of the article.
What are the benefits of uninstalling pre-installed Android apps?
Some applications are installed by default on Android mobile devices. There are two reasons for this. The first is that some of them are considered important for the proper functioning of the operating system. The second reason is the existence of commercial agreements between manufacturers and platform operators. Such programs are called bloatware and cause inconvenience to the user.
In many cases, the processor is taxed by the inability to delete them and by the space they take up in memory and RAM. This leads to a not so pleasant user experience. In addition, bloated programs consume significant amounts of battery power. Because they run in the background, they consume more resources of the mobile phone. Another feature of these applications is that they do not allow other applications to be installed that the user desires.
This can happen due to their incompatibility or by downloading software that is considered dangerous. To prevent this from happening to you, you can turn it off by going to Settings, then selecting Apps and choosing the option you want. Then you must press the Deactivate button.
The above step doesn’t remove the app, it just stops it from appearing in the launcher and also from opening, so it takes up less space and improves your phone’s performance a bit. However, this is not the final solution. What you need to do is remove applications that do not improve performance. If you want to know how to do this, we will show you in the next section.
Steps to remove factory-installed bloatware or application on Android
The first thing you should do is back up any data you deem important to an external medium, and then make sure you have access to all passwords for the installed applications. This is necessary because the process we have indicated will remove all programs installed on your mobile phone. When everything is ready, you can proceed to uninstall the factory installed applications.
To do this, follow these steps:
Download firmware from mobile device
Firmware This is a computer medium that manages the electronic circuits of your mobile phone. This must be done to become a root user.
The following steps are required to download this file:
- Open your browser and go to https://desktop.firmware.mobi/.
- Enter the name or model of your device in the space provided. By default, the page displays the assigned results. When you find it, click on it and then click Submit.
- The page is redirected to another page and the firmware name is displayed there. You must select it by clicking on it.
- Then you need to find the CF-Auto-Root option and click on the link with the same name.
- In the last part of the page, you will find the Generate CF Auto Root Package option. You have to click on it.
- The file explorer appears. You must click Save to install the ZIP.
Mount the bracket on the computer
If the firmware is already installed, you need to extract the file and find the Odin3-v6 folder. Click on it and click on Run and the program will be installed on your computer in a few minutes.
Connecting the mobile phone to a computer
You should now turn off the phone and try to run the battery at least 80%. The next step depends on the brand of your mobile device, the goal is to enter the BIOS to access the main menu. If we take the example of Samsung, you need to press the Home + Off + Volume Down keys. At this point you can connect your mobile phone to your computer with a cable.
Execute firmware
Once the phone is connected, go to the AP option that opens the file explorer to select CF Auto Root. Then you need to click on the Start button. Just wait 10 minutes or more, depending on your phone’s processor, for the process to complete and you can be a root user.
Removing Bloatware
You now need to remove the factory applications. To do this, go to Settings, then tap Apps and select the apps you want to remove.
