Sophos Container Policy for iOS Mobile is a tool that is designed to make it easier for mobile users to protect their data and devices from threats, malware, and data loss that can occur due to mobile devices being compromised.
Sophos has provided a web console for managing the content policy for iOS devices for quite some time, but the interface has not been entirely intuitive. In this post, we will walk you through the process to configure a Sophos Container Policy for iOS devices.
Overview
Keep sensitive corporate data on mobile devices safe and separate from personal data on the device with a secure, AES-256 encrypted Sophos container. User-friendly iOS and Android apps allow users to access containerized content: Sophos Secure Email for email, contacts and calendars, and Sophos Secure Workspace for documents and business navigation.
Sophos Secure Workspace is a container-based mobile content management app for iOS and Android that provides a secure way to manage, share and edit business documents and search web content. Edit Office documents without leaving the container environment to secure encrypted content.
This article helps you configure Sophos Container Policy for iOS Mobile with Work Document to view, edit and integrate storage providers such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive….. to view, edit and integrate. For secure document management.
Instructions
Step one: Sign up for Sophos Central. Under My Products, select Mobile.
Go to Configuration > Android > iOS & iPad > Sophos Container Policy.
Under Change Policy :
Name: Enter the name of the desired policy
Click on Add Configuration.
Under Basic settings, select Working documents.
Then select the desired storage providers, e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc. and activate them.

Offline: Users can add files from storage to the application’s favorites list for offline use.
Open in (encrypted form) : Users can share encrypted files with other applications via Open In.
Open in (unencrypted) form : Users can share unencrypted files with other applications via Open In.

Click on Apply.
Click on General
Select Enable Sophos container password
Choose the password complexity number and settings that you deem necessary.
Click on Apply.
Click Next and select Add Configuration.
Under Basic settings, select Task Browser.
You control the Sophos Secure Workspace browser feature through the workspace browser configuration. Work Browser provides secure access to company intranet sites and other authorized sites. You can define domains and bookmarks within a domain.
Under Edit Domain :
URL : Copy and paste the address of the company’s intranet site.
Click Add Bookmark.
Under Edit Bookmarks :
Name: Enter the name of the desired bookmark
URL : Copy and paste the address of the company’s intranet site. Click on Apply.
Click on Apply.
Click on the Save button.
Step two: Asgin’s policy.
Select the blue down arrow next to the Sophos iOS container policy. Click on assign.
Under Select devices, select the device to which you want to apply the policy (for example: iPhone). You can also select Device Groups to apply the policy to multiple devices in a group. Click on Finish.
Step three: Enable document sharing.
Go to Setup > Documents > Add.
Under Edit Document :
Category: Enter the name you want to assign to the document.
Click on Share document
Assigned Groups : Select the group to which you want to apply the document policy.
Click Upload File and select the file you want to share (for example: Deloy MTR). Then click the Save button.
Step four: Install Sophos Safe Workspace
To apply the Sophos Container Policy, you must install the Sophos Secure Workspace application on your mobile device.
Open the App Store and install the application.
After installing Sophos Secure Workspace, Sophos Container prompts you to create a password for the Sophos container. Click on Set Password.
First click on Work Browsers, from Sophos Secure Workspace you can access the company’s intranet pages.
Then check the working documents. The DocumentBusiness folder was shared with Deloy’s MTR folder.
The next is storage security. If you click on the cloud icon at the bottom right, you will see the storage providers selected in the policy. Click on the desired memory, e.g. B. Google Drive.
You enter the email with the player you want to use.
You can also create text files, documents, Powerpoints and more in Sophos Secure Workspace by clicking the icon in the bottom left corner.
